Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish has doubts concerning the fitness of Marc Albrighton and James Collins, as the duo missed the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal due to thigh and calf injuries respectively.

Charles N'Zogbia missed the last two matches because of a foot problem, and could return in time for this fixture. But the wide man would likelyfeature from the bench before making a start.

Meanwhile, Habib Beye, Nathan Delfouneso and Fabian Delph are all unavailable due to having gone out on loan, while Chris Herd (ankle) and Eric Lichaj (hip) are sidelined.

QPR boss Mark Hughes could be without Heidar Helguson, as the striker is thought to have aggravated a groin injury during the FA Cup game against Chelsea. Akos Buzsaky (ankle) and DJ Campbell (hamstring) are also doubts for this fixture.

Danny Gabbidon (hip) is recovering from his injury and is not certain to make it in time for the upcoming clash, while Kieron Dyer (foot) and Alejandro Faurlin (anterior cruciate ligament) are both in the treatment room.

Aston Villa vs Queens Park Rangers  :

Aston Villa have been in poor form at home of late, as they have gone five games without a home win. Moreover, four of those have been losses.

These two sides have met on nine occasions in the Premier League. None of those games have resulted in an away victory.

Ironically, only one of the six meetings before that ended in a win for the home side.

Should Darren Bent (pictured right) hit the back of the net in this game, it will be his 100th goal in the Premier League.

QPR are in poor form away from home, having won none of their last five games on the road, losing four.

Mark Hughes' men are in 16th position and have conceded 37 goals in their 22 league games. No team above them in the standings has shipped in more. But at the same time, no team below them has conceded fewer.

QPR had gone nine games without a win before they ended their dreary run against Wigan Athletic in the last set of fixtures.

If all games had ended at half-time, Rangers would have jumped a few places to 13th position in the standings.
